Creating my first task

Getting started with tasks and creating your first task

Written by Adam Bragg

Easily create a task via 1 of 3 methods without changing your existing workflows.

  1. The easiest way! We add a button next to the patient's name in your existing software systems so you can easily create a task from the screens you already look at every day.

    • Note: this task will be assigned to the patient in this system by default

  2. Create a task from your Tabflows side bar by clicking on the "Add task" button. This option is only available on the side bar view vs. the side tabs view.

    • Note: if your main system is open to a patient profile page, this task will be assigned to that patient by default

  3. Create a task from your Tabflows side panel. Open the side panel by click "Tasks" in your side bar or side tabs. Click the "add a task" button to create a task.

    • Note: this task will NOT be assigned to a patient by default, even if your main system is open to a patient's profile page.

When creating a task you can define up to 8 different attributes to make this task as productive as possible.

  1. Description (required) - describe the work that needs to get done

  2. Assigned to (required) - define an owner who will see this tasks in "My Tasks"

  3. Patient - define a patient who this this task is about

  4. Tag to system - define which Patient profile this task

  5. Due on (required) - define so that this task shows up in the "Assigned to" user's "My task" list on this date

  6. Tag - create and define tags to more easily filter your tasks

  7. Repeat - create a recurrence and this task will be duplicated on the intervals you define

  8. Mark as urgent - set so the task shows up in the "Assigned to" user's My Task list immediately (even if not Due today) and their Task list shows up as red
