If a tag is no longer needed (for example, you merged two workflows into one), you can delete it from the same Tag Settings screen.
Who can delete tags
Only users with the Owner and Admin roles can delete tags.
How to delete a tag
Open Tasks
Start a new task (or open an existing task)
Click the Tag dropdown
Select Edit tags
Find the tag you want to remove
Click Delete (trash icon to the right)
Click Delete
