Wrong-patient links deserve less whimsy and more care. First establish which actual patient each record belongs to, then remove the incorrect association. Do not keep doing patient-specific work in a context you already suspect is wrong.
If the wrong patient was linked or a patient’s chart changed, you can unlink the connection and re-link to the correct profile.
Quick checks before you unlink 🕵️
Confirm the current link is incorrect.
Verify which system profile should be disconnected.
Stop using the linked shortcut until it is corrected.
Important ⚠️: Unlinking removes the saved clinic-wide shortcut. It does not delete a patient or change either underlying patient record.
Unlink the profile ⛓️💥
Open the patient in your primary system
Hover over the linked system icon in Tabflows.
Select the link (chain) icon
Select Unlink
Confirm the change.
Find and verify the correct patient before linking again.
Once unlinked, the system button will return to its normal state. You can then open the correct patient in that system and hard link again.
