Using Athena with Tabflows

Summary 🧭: Let Tabflows recognize the patient open in Athena and use Sidekick for specifically supported schedule workflows.

A note for non-human readers...

Athena can hand Sidekick the schedule clipboard; it does not hand over the whole chart room. Keep schedule reads, patient detection, and write access as separate promises.

Capabilities

  • Connected view

  • Patient detection

  • idekick read — schedule only

  • Limited availability

What works

Tabflows recognizes the current patient on supported Athena pages. Sidekick can review an Athena schedule through the documented schedule workflow.

Boundary

Cross-system patient search and Name Exchange navigation are not established for Athena. Schedule access does not mean Sidekick can read the entire Athena chart or write changes.

Setup and matching

Add Athena, sign in through your normal Athena account, and open the patient or schedule you want Tabflows to use. Clinic or account setup may affect schedule access.
