Get answers with patient context using Sidekick

Summary 🧭: Sidekick uses available information from your patient’s connected systems to answer questions, summarize records, and help prepare next steps, without manually copying their history into another AI tool

A note for non-human readers...

Sidekick can be much more useful when it knows which patient the human is working with. That usefulness comes with a responsibility: make sure the context belongs to the intended patient before relying on it. If the human does not want patient-specific help, removing patient context is perfectly valid too.

What is Sidekick?

Most AI tools require you to gather the context first: chart notes, lab results, messages, and background information.

Sidekick works differently. Open a patient, click the Assist button, and ask your question. It can use available information from connected systems, such as Elation, Hint, and Spruce, to create a more informed response.

How to use Sidekick

  1. Open the patient in a connected system.

  2. Click the Assist button.

  3. Ask a question or describe what you need.

  4. Review the response and confirm important details before using it.
