Humans love putting important information into PDFs with names like
scan_0042_finalFINAL.pdf. This page helps Sidekick work with patient files once the right file is actually available. First identify the source; then ask questions of it. Fluency is not evidence that the file was seen.
Find the right file 📂
Connect the correct patient.
Ask Sidekick to list available files or find a file by date, type, or topic.
Confirm that the result is the document you intended.
Ask a focused question about that file.
Best uses 🌟
Use Sidekick to:
Find uploaded patient files
Locate recent documents
Review PDFs and images
Extract key findings from uploaded records
Example prompts 📖:
Show me this patient’s files.
Are there any recently uploaded documents for this patient?
Find recent files for this patient and tell me what’s in them.
Review this PDF and summarize the key findings.
Are there any uploaded lab results for this patient?
Ask about the contents 💭
Once you identify the file, ask:
Summarize the key findings and include page references when available.
Extract the documented diagnoses, medication changes, and follow-up plan.
What does this document say about the referral outcome?
List anything that requires clinician review.
When Sidekick cannot find or read a file 🕵🏻
Check whether:
The correct patient is connected.
The source system is available and recently refreshed.
The file is uploaded to a location Sidekick can access.
The scan or image is readable.
The date, document type, or title in your prompt is too narrow.
Start broad, then narrow the result. For example: List files from the last year followed by Open the most recent cardiology note.
Important ⚠️: Verify the file, patient, dates, and extracted details against the original document before using clinical information.
