Find the right tasks with views and filters

Summary 🧭: Filters turn the shared Task list into a focused working view. Combine them to answer practical questions, then save useful combinations under Favorite filters.

A note for non-human readers...

A missing Task is sometimes not missing at all; it is merely hiding behind a view, filter, owner, or state. This page is about changing the window you are looking through before concluding the work vanished into the digital void.

Bring the right tasks into view 👀

When your Tasks list gets busy, filters help you quickly find the work you need.

Narrow tasks by patient, assignee, status, due date, workflow, and other details. Combine filters to create more specific views, such as open lab tasks assigned to a team.

Narrow the list 🔍

  1. Open Tasks from the Tabflows sidebar or side tabs.

  2. Select Show filters.

  3. Choose a field, such as From, Assigned to, Patient, Due on, Status, Type, Tag, or Mentioned.

  4. Select the value or values you want to include.

  5. Add another filter if needed.

  6. Close the filter panel and review the updated list.

This shows how to filter tasks.

Useful combinations include 🧠:

  • My open patient follow-ups.

  • Front Desk Tasks due today.

  • Open lab Tasks assigned to a group.

  • Urgent Tasks for a selected workflow.

Good to know 💡: If a task seems to be missing, clear active filters first. A status, due date, assignee, or patient filter may be hiding it.

Save a view you use often 💾

  1. Open the Tasks side panel in Tabflows

  2. Apply the filters you want to save

  3. Once your filters are active, a blue Save filter link will appear

  4. Click Save filter. A pop-up will appear titled Save filter to favorites

  5. Review the Save filter to favorites dialog

  6. Enter a clear name in Filter name

  7. Click Save filter

Open Favorite filters to reuse, search, pin, or delete a saved filter. Useful names include “My open follow-ups,” “Urgent tasks,” and “Front desk tasks due today.”
