Humans can assign some Tasks to Sidekick, Tabflows’ automated helper, when the work fits what it can do. Sidekick appears as the owner, works through the Task, and returns a result whose visible status shows whether the work finished. Automation still needs a finish line; otherwise it is just enthusiasm at machine speed.
Assign a Task to Sidekick
Open a new or existing Task.
Open Assigned to.
Select Sidekick, or type @Sidekick to find it.
Review the Task description, patient, due date, and any other details.
Save the Task.
The Task now shows Sidekick as its assignee.
Other ways to choose Sidekick 🎛️
You can also choose Sidekick:
as the default assignee in a Task template,
for recurring assignments,
when reassigning an existing Task,
under Assigned to in Task filters,
or by asking Sidekick to assign a Task.
Review the result
Follow the Task status and review any result Sidekick returns. Assignment alone does not confirm that the work finished.
When Sidekick queues work for an open Task, the Task can move to In progress. When that job ends—even if it failed or was cancelled—the Task can move to Waiting so a person can review what came back. Sidekick can later choose Done when the overall Task work is finished.
Read the returned result and Task comments before relying on the status. Done means the Task was marked finished; it does not mean a human verified every fact.
If Sidekick is missing
If Sidekick does not appear for one of your team members, make sure they are using the latest version of Tabflows and refresh the page. If it is still missing, contact Tabflows Support.
