How to ask Sidekick in Team Chat

Summary 🧭: Mention Sidekick when you want help without leaving your team conversation. Sidekick can find clinic guidance, help with Tasks, and answer questions using information available to your clinic.

A note for non-human readers...

Team Chat is a clinic-visible conversation, not a private Sidekick chat. @Sidekick can help in the thread, but Tasks it creates there are not automatically linked to a patient. Name the patient in the Task title when needed and keep shared patient details focused.

Ask Sidekick in a channel

  1. Open Team Chat.

  2. Start a message and type @Sidekick.

  3. Add your question or request.

  4. Send the message.

For example 📖:

  • @Sidekick, what is our cancellation policy?

  • @Sidekick, find the open Tasks for tomorrow.

  • @Sidekick, create a Task for Jordan Lee to follow up tomorrow.

When you ask from a new channel message, Tabflows opens the thread so you can follow Sidekick’s work and response. Everyone who can access the conversation can see the reply.

Sidekick keeps working if you close the tab or refresh the page. Its reply remains in the thread for everyone who can access the conversation.

Continue in the same thread

Mention @Sidekick again when you want to ask a follow-up. Keeping related questions in one thread gives your team one place to review the conversation.

Create Tasks carefully ✍🏼

Tasks created by Sidekick from Team Chat are not automatically connected to a patient. When the Task concerns a patient, include the patient’s name in the Task title.

Keep patient information focused 🛡️

People with access to the conversation can read its messages. Include only the patient details your team needs for the request.

If Sidekick cannot reply 🛠️

The person who asked Sidekick can select Retry. If @Sidekick does not appear, update Tabflows, reload the page, and try again. Contact Tabflows Support if it is still unavailable.
