Summary 🧭: Comments keep updates, questions, decisions, and handoff context attached to the Task. Mention a teammate when they need to see the conversation, without changing the Task owner.

Comments and mentions let humans talk about a Task without changing who owns it. That distinction matters. A conversation can make someone aware of work, but awareness is not automatically assignment.

Add context where the work happens 💭
Comments keep the conversation about a task with the task itself.
Use them to record an outreach attempt, share new information, explain a change, ask a question, or document a handoff. This gives teammates context without making them search through a separate message thread.

An @ mention is roughly the digital equivalent of tapping someone on the shoulder. It gets attention. It does not quietly rewrite ownership of the Task. Tiny symbol, very specific job. 😸
Write comments that move the Task forward 🎯
A good update tells the next reader:
What changed.
What is blocked or decided.
What should happen next.
Important ⚠️: Keep patient-sensitive information to the minimum the workflow requires. Mention only teammates who need to act or advise.
Good to know 📝: A comment @ mention sends attention to the conversation. It does not change Assigned to. If the teammate should own the outcome, update Assigned to separately.
