Summary 🧭: Do not use the answer. Correct the linked patient, ask the question again, and review the replacement response from the beginning.

If Sidekick seems to be talking about the wrong patient, treat that as a safety problem before treating it as an awkward answer. Confirm the actual patient first, then trace where the wrong context entered: current Tabflows context, patient linking, Name Exchange, or another source. Do not continue consequential patient work while identity is uncertain.

Why this happens 🤷♂️
Sidekick responses depend on the patient context connected to the conversation. If the wrong patient is linked, the answer may reflect the wrong chart or source data.
Quick checks ⚡
Before retrying, check the following:
Review the patient currently shown in Tabflows.
Compare that patient with the chart you intended to use.
Confirm whether the wrong patient is linked to the conversation.

This is one of the places where fun pauses for a moment. If patient identity is uncertain, do not continue a patient-specific answer while hoping the context sorts itself out. Correct the context first; cleverness can wait thirty seconds.
Correct the context
If the patient context is incorrect:
Stop before copying, sending, or acting on the answer.
Review the linked patient.
Correct or remove the wrong patient context.
Connect the intended patient.
Ask the question again.
Review the new answer carefully before using it.
Best practice
Always confirm the active patient before relying on a Sidekick answer that includes chart-based information, summaries, recommendations, or patient-specific content.
Safety note
If there is any doubt about whether the answer references the correct patient, treat it as unusable until the patient context has been corrected and the question has been asked again.
Confirm it worked
The intended patient appears in Sidekick and the newly generated response matches the available sources for that patient.
Important ⚠️: The original answer remains unusable after the patient link is corrected. Ask again and review the new answer.
