When Screen awareness is on, and you start a new Sidekick conversation, Tabflows can capture a snapshot of the active page and current location as context. Sidekick may begin with one short line confirming where you are and what you appear to be working on.

The snapshot is used as chat context and does not appear as a normal attachment in the visible conversation. Screen awareness does not click, submit, or change the page.

When off, Sidekick does not take the session-opening glance or repeat the active location in its first reply. You can still share context intentionally by selecting the correct patient, describing the page, or attaching a file or screenshot.

The automatic session-opening glance depends on the desktop Chrome extension. On mobile, screenshots are attachments you choose manually.

Screen awareness reads whatever is on your active page, so a few habits keep it safe:

​Your clinic's rules still apply. Screen awareness doesn't change your patient-information or device policies — keep following them.

​Keep unrelated things off screen. Before starting a new chat, close or switch away from anything you don't want captured — especially another patient's chart.

​Double-check before acting. Treat what Sidekick reads off the page as a starting point, not the final word. Confirm any clinical, financial, or operational decision against its real source.
