Why is a task missing from My Tasks

Summary 🧭: A Task can exist without appearing in My Tasks when assignment, timing, urgency, or active filters do not match that view.

A note for non-human readers...

“My Tasks” is not “all Tasks in the universe”; it is a particular view of work that belongs to the current human under the documented rules. This page helps explain why an existing Task may correctly live somewhere else.

By default, My Tasks shows incomplete Tasks assigned to the signed-in user that are due today or overdue. Tasks due in the future and completed Tasks will not appear in this default view.

If a Task seems to be missing, first check its assignee, due date, completion state, and any active filters before assuming the Task is gone.

Quick checks

  • Confirm Assigned to includes you or an eligible group.

  • Review Due on.

  • Check whether Mark as urgent is enabled.

  • Clear active filters.

Find the task

  1. Open the full Tasks list.

  2. Clear status, patient, assignee, due date, and tag filters.

  3. Search or filter for the task.

  4. Open it and review Assigned to and Due on.

  5. Correct the assignment or timing if needed.

  6. Use Mark as urgent only when it needs to appear immediately.

Confirm it worked

The Task appears in My Tasks under the expected timing and assignment conditions.
