Summary 🧭. Use Sidekick to scan Elation’s unfiled fax queue, pull the available fax details, and separate clear items from faxes that need manual review. Scanning is read-only. After you review a card, an eligible fax can offer Process to file it individually — or, when enabled, in a confirmed batch.
Before you start
Confirm Elation Fax Triage is enabled for your account.
Use desktop Chrome with the Tabflows extension running.
Sign in to Elation and open the unfiled fax queue.
Scan the queue
Open Elation’s unfiled fax queue.
Select the Tabflows fax-triage button.
Wait while Sidekick reads the available fax pages and matches visible information.
Review every result card — fax line, sender number, received time, page count, patient match, document type, and any truncation or manual-review warning.
Sidekick can read image-based fax pages and supported PDF content. Large faxes may be truncated, and a truncated result is not complete evidence of the whole fax. (Elation’s manual-upload inboxes are not fax lines and are left out of the scan.)
Manual review
Confirm the patient, provider, document type, date, and destination directly in Elation whenever a match is uncertain, details are missing, the fax is truncated, or Sidekick reports a partial failure.
File one ready fax
Scanning files does nothing on its own. After you review a ready card, select Process to file that fax. Confirm the patient, title, document type, reviewing provider, and page count first. Tabflows re-checks that the fax still exists and its pages have not changed before filing, then confirms success by re-reading the inbox.
Review the result — Filed, Already filed, Failed, or Unconfirmed. Verify Unconfirmed items in Elation before retrying. (Filing never deletes a fax, and Tabflows will not treat a filing as done while it is Unconfirmed.)
Process all eligible faxes
If Process all is available, review the eligible cards, confirm the batch, watch progress, and use Stop to halt the remaining faxes. Manual-review, duplicate, unmatched, or incomplete cards are excluded. A sign-in-required result stops the remaining work. After the run, inspect the Filed, Already filed, Failed, and Unconfirmed counts, and verify Unconfirmed items in Elation before retrying. Process files a fax; it does not delete it.
If the scan cannot continue
Sign in to Elation, then retry.
Reopen the unfiled fax queue.
Confirm the Tabflows extension is available.
Retry a smaller visible set when the queue is very large.
What this action changes
Scanning changes nothing — it does not file, move, delete, or sign a fax automatically. Selecting Process after review files an eligible fax; it does not delete it.
