A fax queue is a pile of maybes until a human reviews the patient, document, and destination. Scanning is read-only; a prepared filing is not a completed filing, and an unconfirmed result means check Cerbo before trying again.
Before you start 📋
Use desktop Chrome with the latest Tabflows extension. Sign in to Cerbo and open Received Faxes (Unfiled).
Scan the queue 🔍
Ask Sidekick to scan the Cerbo unfiled fax queue.
The scan does not file or delete anything. Sidekick returns a triage report grouped into:
Ready to process — the available details support a filing proposal.
Needs manual review — something is missing, uncertain, or requires a person to decide.
Review a fax 🕵🏻♀️
Before filing, review the proposed:
patient and date of birth,
provider,
document name and type,
document date and destination,
page count and any detected cover pages,
possible duplicate,
and expected filing result.
Practice Awareness may help suggest a document type, destination, or reviewer. It does not replace checking the fax and patient yourself.
File one ready fax
Open a ready fax card.
Confirm the patient and destination.
Correct any proposed fields that are wrong.
Select Process only when the card is accurate.
Review the final result in Sidekick and Cerbo.
Sidekick checks the fax again before filing. A fax is reported as filed only after Cerbo no longer offers it for filing.
Process several ready faxes ⚡
Select Process all to work through several ready faxes as a reviewed batch.
Faxes marked as possible duplicates or Needs manual review are excluded. Review every included card and the approval summary before continuing.
Cover pages 📑
When leading cover pages are followed by content pages, Sidekick may separate the cover pages and file only the content.
The separated cover pages remain in Cerbo unless you explicitly select the delete option. A fax made entirely of cover pages is treated as the whole fax.
If a result is uncertain 🤔
If the result says failed, already filed, partial, or unconfirmed, inspect the fax in Cerbo before retrying.
Do not retry an uncertain filing blindly. Repeating a write that already succeeded can create a duplicate.
If the workflow is missing 🛡️
Make sure you are using the latest version of Tabflows, sign in to Cerbo, and reopen Received Faxes (Unfiled). If the workflow still does not appear, contact Tabflows Support.
