AI Patient Summary is for helping a clinician arrive at a visit with the patient story easier to see. It is a summary of available information, not a new medical record and not a replacement for clinical judgment. Correct patient context matters enormously here.

A summary compresses information; compression can hide disagreement. If two source records conflict, do not let the shorter paragraph quietly decide which one is true. The source data and clinician still own that judgment.
Everything you need is already in the chart; the work is finding it before the patient sits down.
When does it appear 🗓️
AI Patient Summary is available whenever you have a patient chart open in Cerbo or Elation — the only two places it appears. It stays disabled until the patient on screen is linked and loaded in Tabflows, so if it looks inactive, link the patient first.
Where will you see it 📍
On the patient chart itself, labeled "Click for AI Patient Summary" — the text cycles and an arrow points at it. You don't install it; Tabflows presents it beside the chart you already have open.
What happens when you press it ⚡
Sidekick opens and runs a fixed visit-prep workflow, then returns one copyable summary card covering:
Relationship and personal details
Critical alerts
Context and history
Monitoring items
Medication reconciliation
Copy what's useful into your note.
What won't it do on its own 🔒
It reads, and only reads — it never writes to the EMR. Nothing lands in the chart unless you copy it there yourself.
I don't see the button 🤔
Usually the context didn't match, and nothing is broken: you're in an EMR other than Cerbo or Elation, or the patient on screen isn't linked in Tabflows yet. This button is not affected by the "Hide smart buttons" setting.
