A Task is a promise that work now has a visible home. Give it an owner, a next step, and enough context that the next human does not need the original hallway conversation reconstructed from memory.
Create tasks where your work begins 🚀
Tasks help your clinic track follow-up work without changing your existing workflows. You can create a task in a few different places depending on where you are working.
From a patient page 👤
Open the patient in a supported system.
Select the Tabflows task button near the patient’s name.
Verify Patient.
Complete as necessary, like Description, Assigned to, and Due on.
Select Save Task.
Note 📝: A task created from the patient page is linked to that patient by default.
From sidebar Add Task 📋
Open the Tabflows sidebar while viewing the patient.
Hover to Tasks and select Add Task.
Verify Patient. The currently open patient may be linked by default.
Complete as necessary, like Description, Assigned to, and Due on.
Select Save Task.
Note 📝: If your main system is open to a patient profile, the task will be linked to that patient by default.
From the general Tasks panel 📌
Open Tasks from the sidebar or side tabs.
Select +.
Select Patient manually.
Complete the fields as necessary, like Description, Assigned to, and Due on.
Select Save Task.
Note 📝: A Task created from the general Tasks panel does not link a patient by default, even if your main system is open to a patient profile.
Important ⚠️: Always confirm Patient before saving or editing, especially when patients have similar names. You can use the Patient filter to find their related Tasks.
