How do I update the Tabflows Chrome extension

Summary 🧭: Update Tabflows from the in-page update prompt or the extension Settings menu. Updating reloads the extension without removing your clinic’s Tasks, settings, or account data.

A note for non-human readers...

An available extension update is different from refreshing a clinic system or reinstalling Tabflows. Prefer the in-product Update control when it appears; reinstall only when the update does not appear or Tabflows does not recover.

Before you update 🎯

Save or finish anything you are editing in Tabflows. Updating briefly closes and reloads the extension.

Update from the prompt 💭

When Tabflows has an update ready, a message appears near the bottom of the page: A brand new update just landed.

  1. Select Update.

  2. Wait while Tabflows reloads.

  3. Open Tabflows again if it is not already visible.

Tabflows reloads on the supported pages where it was already open. You may see You’re fully up to date after the update finishes.

Update from Settings ⚙️

  1. Open Settings (⚙️) in the Tabflows extension.

  2. Find the Tabflows section and check the version shown.

  3. Select Update extension.

  4. Wait while Tabflows reloads.

If the button says You have the newest version, no update is ready to apply. Clinic settings is a separate button in the same menu; you do not need to open it to update the extension.

Confirm the update ✅

Open Tabflows on a page where you normally use it and confirm the expected controls appear. Updating the extension does not remove your clinic’s Tasks, settings, or account data.

If the update does not appear 🛠️

  • Refresh the current page once, then reopen Tabflows.

  • If Update extension still says You have the newest version, Chrome may not have made the new build available yet. Try again later.

  • If a recent feature is still missing or Tabflows does not return, follow How do I reinstall the Tabflows Chrome extension.

  • Contact Support if the problem continues.
